Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck by Ute in Night-Time Road Accident

A man has died after being struck by a ute while crossing a suburban road at night in a fatal crash that has prompted a police investigation.

Northern Territory Police said the pedestrian was crossing Berrimah Road between Moo Street and Dennis Court when he was struck by a white Toyota Hilux.

Emergency crews, including police and St John Ambulance personnel, attended the scene and attempted to revive the man. Despite those efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the ute remained at the location following the collision and cooperated with authorities. Police said the driver returned negative results to drug and alcohol testing.
